NOW
MEET SOME OF COQUI'S BABIES
Brisa,
Hercules and Coqui. When Brisa was found (4 years ago) she was so bad that the
vet said she wouldn't live more than 3 days and suggested euthanasia which of
course I refused. Look at her now. The power of love.
Hercules came from Buenos Aires at the end of 2005. He had been taken to a
municipal shelter for having bitten the owner. He was confined in a very
small cage which didn't allow him to move properly. Since he was so big
nobody wanted to walk him; he remained in that cage for a very long time.
This we believe caused him to become aggressive. One day he stopped eating;
he was, by all accounts, depressed. I saw his picture with his eyes showing
a deep sadness. I couldn't get him out of my mind. I contacted the animals
advocates in Buenos Aires; the money for the transportation was gathered to
cover the cost of shipping him from another province to our sanctuary.
Since he arrived here he has never been aggressive or bitten anybody.
